It’s too late to give up

Meet our founder

I am Arzoo Hassanzada, Founder and Owner of ZADA’S Sports Performance and Fitness. My family is from Afghanistan and moved to Portland, Maine in 2003 when I was an infant. The name ZADA’S comes from the last portion of my surname and serves as a tribute to my family and our history, which have been important throughout my journey. Our motto, “It’s too late to give up,” reflects the belief that once an ambition takes hold, you must pursue it relentlessly until it is achieved.

Fitness was a major influence growing up—my father was involved in bodybuilding, which inspired one of my brothers to compete and sparked my own interest in health and performance. I played soccer, softball, and basketball as a youth; soccer remained a passion through high school and into college.

Determined to pursue opportunities out of state, I earned a scholarship to Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, where I completed a Bachelor’s in Exercise and Sports Science and a Master’s in Sports Science. I began my personal fitness career in 2019 after moving to South Florida, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of roles that helped me learn what works best for athletes and clients. I have experience training NFL athletes, UFC fighters, conducting performance research and much more during my career thus far—combining elite-level hands-on coaching with evidence-based practice to inform my programming and athlete development.

Through ZADA’S, I aim to create an environment where members feel empowered, encouraged, safe, and motivated to become the best version of themselves. My approach combines academic training, practical experience, and a commitment to measurable progress in sports performance and overall wellness.

Our Process

Join us for a first free session

Join us for a complimentary introductory session and discover the ZADA’S difference in just one day. Our philosophy is simple: “It’s too late to give up.” Once you decide to begin, there’s no looking back. We challenge you in every session and demonstrate the strength you possess—both mentally and physically.

Initial assesment

New members will complete an initial assessment to establish a baseline of physical ability. This baseline enables coaches to target specific needs and track progress. The same standardized tests will be repeated quarterly to measure improvements and quantify performance output.

Every day during the week is different

Our weekday Sports Performance sessions each focus on a different component. Depending on the program phase, sessions may target linear acceleration and deceleration, lateral movement, speed, strength, and much more. We take conditioning and agility to a new level to unlock your athletic abilities.
